The Joseph Smith Miracle Scholarship Fund

The Joseph Smith Miracle Scholarship Fund was established on September 11, 2015 at the Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine.

In 1813, Dr. Nathan Smith, founder of Dartmouth Medical School, performed a pioneering surgery on young Joseph Smith, saving his leg and possibly his life. Your gift to the Joseph Smith Miracle Scholarship Fund honors the legacy of both men and provides scholarship support to students at Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine.
